“Love is the name for our pursuit of wholeness, for our desire to be complete.”
Plato, The Symposium
Hi! Thanks for checking out my website. I’m Jamie, I’m a nationally certified master’s level therapist working within the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I’m born and raised in Dayton, OH. I’ve taught English and studied in South America (2014 and 2016). I’ve lived in KY, CA, and AZ. I have family in Puerto Rico, Cincinnati and some stamps in my passport. This allows me to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
We aren't meant to live life alone. Over the last several years I have invested a significant amount of time and money in my own individual counseling, experiential learnings, and business coaching. Before being empowered, I found myself “white knuckling” through life. Today, I’m living at my apex due to God’s grace. I’ve also eliminated all my insecurities and defenses by having a therapist who was pivotal in my transformation (after trying many). I navigate the challenges of life better than before and I’m confident I can lead you to the same.
Getting others see those same “gains” or “aha moments” are what get me up every morning. Sessions with my clients are interactive, upbeat and even challenging at times (change cannot happen without confronting our fears in a trusting environment). I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) worksheets and diagrams, art therapy, writing prompts, motivational interviewing, communication techniques as well as psychoeducation to increase self awareness. When my clients finish therapy with me, they report increased self esteem, successful utilization of boundaries, more satisfying relationships, increased stress tolerance and even healed marriages. You don’t know what you don’t know, 🤷 so let’s get to work :) Hope to hear from you soon.
